The Ancient Greeks prized a sound mind and a strong body above all else. They knew the two were interconnected and indispensable if their society was to prosper. The Greeks gave us Philosophy, Democracy and the Olympics. And the symmetry with which they build their Temples mirrors in their sculptures, symbolizing the sacred nature of the human form.
Modern Bodybuilding has sadly turned into a circus of chemistry experiments. Gone are the days when a narrow waist and broad shoulders epitomized the ideal male physique. This site is not targeting people who plan to compete, but people who love the ideal of a long, healthy, and virile life that comes with a great looking physique. |

Today's top bodybuilders resemble cartoon caricatures. Paper-thin skin, extreme vascularity, distended bellies, and shrunken gonads pass for the norm.
In ancient Greece the paper-thin skin would provide little insulation against harsh winters; the maze of veins would be an easy target for the tip of an enemy's sword; the distended stomachs would preclude any running; and the shrunken gonads, well....I'll leave that to your imagination. I am not sure how testicles the size of chickpeas make a convincing case to a woman that her Adonis warrior can procreate. The shear immensity of modern-day musculature will seize up in any warfare - ancient or modern - due to the incredible build-up of lactic acid during a routine detail like loading a truck - not to mention the incredible strain placed on the army's food supplies by a Behemoth physique. "You need 8,000 calories per day?....I don't think so, Private! You'll have to make do with 1,500." Bodybuilding, sadly, has turned into a billion dollar industry at the expense of health and longevity. One only has to Google the term 'dead bodybuilders' to get an idea of how completely out of control things have gone. Gargantuan bodies with arses the size of hippos are trying to convince us that it's all in the dieting and the supplements. Who are they trying to kid? Women with men's voices, no breasts, and no chance of ever giving birth, or giving birth to masculinized female babies epitomize the female physique. Sorry, the thought of seeing my sweetheart shave her face in the morning doesn't do anything for me. Modern bodybuilding is producing genetic hybrids. My mission is to bring back sound bodybuilding principles which promote an ageless physique and longevity, which were the reasons I got into bodybuilding in the first place. If you believe in these values, I hope you will join me in my quest. Live long. Be strong, Paul Adams |
